How much is a taxi from Bodrum Airport to Bodrum town centre?
Milas-Bodrum Airport is not at Bodrum. The state airports authority puts it 17 km from Milas and 37 km from Bodrum town centre, and almost everything a British holidaymaker has booked sits at the Bodrum end of that drive.
The airport works as two terminals, domestic and international. The operator's car park page names a Domestic Terminal car park and an International Terminal car park among the three it runs, 1,210 spaces between them, while the arrival guide keeps it simpler for an arriving passenger and says that after customs you enter the main Arrivals Hall. Which of the two your flight uses decides more here than it does at most airports, and the options in the table below are not equally interested in the international one.
Our price is agreed when you book and does not move afterwards. A rank car is metered instead, and neither the airport nor its rank operator publishes a figure for the run into town, so the amount is whatever the meter reads when you arrive.
For one or two people travelling light into the middle of Bodrum, the cheapest way in is not a car, and the table below says so plainly. What a booked car buys is the door, the hour and the certainty: an amount agreed before you fly, a driver who has your flight number, and no queue at the end of it. Our prices are per vehicle, so a family of four pays once.
| Option | Cost | Journey time | Door to door? | Pre-bookable? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Taxi Hub, pre-booked | Cost: From £26.93, fixed, including 60 minutes free waiting after your flight lands | Journey time: 39 minutes | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? Yes |
| Taxi from the airport rank | Cost: Metered. The airport publishes a phone number for the taxi cooperative and no fare, tariff or airport supplement | Journey time: The same 37 km of road as any car | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? No |
| Havaş airport shuttle bus | Cost: TRY 270 a person to Bodrum Central Bus Terminal | Journey time: 45 minutes, calling at Güvercinlik and Torba Bus Terminal, but the operator publishes no arrival-side times and says the service is provided for domestic arrivals | Door to door? No | Pre-bookable? No |
| MUTTAŞ municipal bus, line 48-24 | Cost: TRY 270 to Bodrum Otogar on Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's airport fare table, cards accepted, no reservation and no advance ticket | Journey time: Not published. MUTTAŞ gives no journey time for line 48-24; its vehicles meet domestic arrivals and call at the international terminal on the way out | Door to door? No | Pre-bookable? No |
| Ride-hailing app | Cost: In Muğla the Uber app offers one option, a yellow taxi on the taximeter, with a TRY 40 booking fee included | Journey time: The same roads as a rank car, subject to a driver accepting the job | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? No |
Where do I meet my driver at Bodrum?
- Know which terminal you are landing at before you fly. The airport runs a domestic and an international terminal with their own car parks, and its arrival guide takes you only as far as the main Arrivals Hall, so a driver sent to the wrong one costs you the walk.
- Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email. That email arrives separately from your booking confirmation, so save the number to your phone before you leave home.
- Express pick-up is included in the price you paid: the driver waits at the airport's designated pick-up point rather than inside the hall. Being met in the arrivals hall with a name board is meet and greet, a paid extra you add at checkout.
- Do not join the rank queue by mistake. Taxis work designated areas at the arrivals and departures of both terminals around the clock, and your driver is not in that queue unless they tell you otherwise.
- Your flight is tracked at no charge, and your booking carries 60 minutes free waiting after your flight lands, so a slow bag belt does not cost you the car.

Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.
Rank, ride-hail, drop-off and the facts that move the meter
The airport road services are built around domestic flights
MUTTAŞ states that its vehicles meet passengers from all domestic arrivals at their landing times, and that vehicles setting off from the domestic terminal call at the international terminal on their way out. If you are on a flight from the UK you are the call on the way past, not the reason the vehicle came.
(MUTTAŞ (Muğla Büyükşehir Belediyesi transport company), checked 16 September 2026)There is no published timetable in the direction you need
Havaş publishes around fourteen departures a day from Bodrum Central Bus Terminal to the airport, from roughly half past six in the morning to mid evening, on a list that changes by date, so check your own travel date on the operator's page. In the other direction it publishes not one time. All it says for arrivals is that a service is provided for domestic flights landing at Milas-Bodrum.
(Havaş (Havaalanları Yer Hizmetleri A.Ş.), checked 16 September 2026)Bodrum is the only place the shuttle goes
Bodrum Airport is a Havaş station, and its destination list from that station holds exactly one entry, Bodrum Center. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's airport fare table covers five destinations and all five are inside Muğla province. Anywhere further, Altınkum and Kuşadası included, is a road journey you arrange yourself.
(Havaş (Havaalanları Yer Hizmetleri A.Ş.), checked 16 September 2026)Five minutes at the kerb, then TRY 140.00
Free parking at Milas-Bodrum Airport lasts five minutes. After that an automobile pays TRY 140.00 for up to an hour on the tariff effective from 1 January 2026, and the car park is ticketless and takes cards only at exit. If somebody is meeting you, that is the clock they are on.
(TAV Airports, Milas-Bodrum Airport, checked 16 September 2026)Uber here is a metered taxi, not a private car
Uber's own Muğla page offers a single option, Yellow Taxi, for one to four passengers, charged on the taximeter with a TRY 40 booking fee included. Opening the app does not get you a fixed price and it does not get you a larger vehicle.
(Uber Technologies Inc., checked 16 September 2026)Who is allowed to drive you
Carrying passengers by car for money in Turkey needs an A-type authorisation under the Karayolu Taşıma Yönetmeliği: A1 for domestic work, A2 for unscheduled international work. The same regulation caps the age of the cars at 8 years and the size of an A1 fleet at 20 vehicles. Our transfers are run by a licensed local supplier working under that regime.
(T.C. Ulaştırma ve Altyapı Bakanlığı, Karayolu Taşıma Yönetmeliği, checked 16 September 2026)More people here are flying domestic than international
To the end of August 2026 DHMİ counted 1,963,077 domestic passengers at Milas-Bodrum against 1,277,409 international ones. That balance is why the timetabled services point at the domestic terminal, and it is the single most useful thing to understand about ground transport at this airport.

How far is Bodrum Airport from Bodrum?
37 km by the state airports authority's own figure, measured to Bodrum town centre, and 17 km from Milas in the other direction. Two other numbers circulate for the same run and none of them contradicts the others, because each measures something different: Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's airport fare table puts Bodrum Otogar, the bus terminal, at 38 km, and MUTTAŞ gives the length of its own line 48-24 as 40 KM. Whichever you take, the drive into town is the better part of an hour rather than a quarter of it.
Is there a taxi rank at Bodrum Airport?
Yes, around the clock, in areas set aside for taxis at the arrivals and departures of both the domestic and the international terminal. The airport publishes a number for the taxi cooperative and no fare at all, so a rank car is a metered journey whose total you learn at the end of it.
Is there a bus from Bodrum Airport to Bodrum?
Yes, two of them, and both cost TRY 270 a person to Bodrum's bus terminal. Havaş takes 45 minutes and calls at Güvercinlik and Torba. MUTTAŞ runs line 48-24 over 40 KM on Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's airport tariff, takes cards, and sells no advance tickets or reservations. The two sources describe the MUTTAŞ stops differently and it is worth knowing both: the operator's own line page names Bodrum Torba Otogar and the Jet Migros in the centre of Güvercinlik, while the airport's municipal buses page names the Torba Junction underpass and the front of Güvercinlik Metro.
What time is the airport bus from Bodrum Airport?
There is no published answer for the direction you need. Havaş gives around fourteen departure times a day from Bodrum Central Bus Terminal towards the airport, from roughly half past six in the morning to mid evening, on a list that changes by date, so check your own travel date on the operator's page. In the arrivals direction it gives none at all, saying only that a service is provided for domestic flights landing. MUTTAŞ says the same in a different way: its vehicles meet domestic arrivals and call at the international terminal on the way out.
Is there a bus from Bodrum Airport to Altınkum or Kuşadası?
No. Havaş's destination list from Bodrum Airport contains one entry, Bodrum Center, and Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's airport fare table stops at the provincial boundary. Havaş withdrew its Didim service on 7 August 2026. Both resorts are in Aydın province and are reached from this airport by road, privately.
Is there a train from Bodrum Airport?
No. The airport's own list of ways to reach the city has five entries, and car parking, municipal buses, rent a car, taxi and airport shuttle buses are all of them. There is no rail, tram or metro link of any kind.
Is Uber available at Bodrum Airport?
Uber operates in Muğla, but what it offers there is a single product called Yellow Taxi for one to four passengers, priced on the taximeter with a TRY 40 booking fee included. It is a way of hailing a licensed taxi, not a way of booking a fixed-price car, and it will not bring you a people carrier.
How much does it cost to be picked up at the kerb?
Five minutes are free. Beyond that an automobile pays TRY 140.00 for up to an hour on the tariff that took effect on 1 January 2026, rising to TRY 480.00 for a day, and the car park is ticketless with card payment only at exit. There are three car parks, at the domestic terminal, the international terminal and the buses, with 1,210 spaces between them, so tell whoever is meeting you which terminal you land at before they pick one.
Where do I meet my driver at Bodrum Airport?
At the airport's designated pick-up point for the terminal you land at. Milas-Bodrum publishes no meeting point for pre-booked drivers anywhere on its site: the arrival guide takes you as far as the main Arrivals Hall after customs, the taxi page covers the rank and nothing else, and the transport index lists car parking, municipal buses, rent a car, taxi and airport shuttle buses. So tell us which flight you are on and ring the driver as soon as you are on the ground, on the number in your supplier details email. Express pick-up of that kind is included in what you paid; being met inside the hall with a name board is meet and greet, a paid extra at checkout.
Can I get a child seat?
Yes, on request when you book. Tell us the ages and we pass it to the supplier with the job. A saloon takes 3 passengers and three standard suitcases, an estate 4 passengers and three suitcases, a people carrier 5 passengers and four suitcases, and our eight-seater 8 passengers with eight.
What happens if my flight is late?
We track it and move the pick-up to the real landing time at no extra charge, so book for the scheduled arrival rather than padding it. The free waiting window included in your fare starts when the aircraft lands.
Can I cancel, and how do I pay?
Cancel more than 24 hours before pick-up and you pay nothing; inside 24 hours the booking is charged in full. Payment is online by card when you book, for the whole vehicle rather than per seat, and the amount you see is the amount taken.
How far ahead do I need to book a transfer from Bodrum Airport?
At least 24 hours before your pick-up. We can't take bookings at shorter notice here. If you have just landed and need a car now, the airport taxi rank is the quickest option.
