Gran Canaria Airport taxi and transfers

Our fixed price is quoted live on this page before you book and does not change afterwards. A rank taxi is metered instead. Las Palmas is a different municipality from the airport, so the run is charged on the Canary Islands interurban tariff: EUR 1.35 per kilometre by day plus an airport supplement of EUR 2.10, over a road distance of about 22 kilometres. The EUR 3.85 that Aena's page calls a flag fall is the tariff's minimum perception: the meter starts there and it covers the first 1,500 metres, so a daytime run comes to about EUR 33.60 before waiting.

Yes. Aena gives it as Terminal, Floor 0, outdoor area, on the same level as arrivals. Aena also asks passengers to use only the signed rank and to avoid drivers offering services from other points, and to ask for a receipt if there is any dispute.

Yes, Global line 60, which runs between the airport and Santa Catalina in Las Palmas. Departures from the airport are at 15 and 45 minutes past the hour from 06:15 until 20:45, then hourly for the last three at 21:15, 22:15 and 23:15. Global gives the journey as 20 minutes to San Telmo at EUR 2.30 and 30 minutes to Santa Catalina at EUR 2.95.

Yes, Global line 66, hourly, calling at Bahía Feliz, San Agustín, the Yumbo and Cita centres and Playa del Inglés before ending at Faro de Maspalomas. Aena prices it at EUR 3.50 to Playa del Inglés and EUR 4.05 to Faro de Maspalomas. The catch is the hours: the first from the airport is 07:30 and the last is 20:30.

By road on the GC-1 south, or on Global line 91, the direct Santa Catalina to Puerto de Mogán service that calls at the airport, Arguineguín, Patalavaca, Puerto Rico and Playa del Cura. Aena prices it at EUR 5.45 to Puerto Rico, and Global gives Puerto de Mogán as 60 minutes at EUR 6.80. One caveat for Mogán: Aena puts that EUR 6.80 fare on line 1, the all-stops route, while Global puts it on line 91, so check the number on the vehicle.

On Floor 1, Departures. That catches people out, because you arrive on Floor 0 and have to carry your luggage up a level to reach it. Global also names two separate express stops by direction: Aeropuerto Sur Expres for the resorts and Aeropuerto LP Expres for Las Palmas.

Aena describes the airport as 18 kilometres from Las Palmas and 25 kilometres from the main southern tourist area, which is how far out the airport sits rather than how far you drive; by road up the GC-1 it is about 22 kilometres into the capital. The live estimate at the top of this page comes from our routing engine on the day you read it, so it reflects the current network rather than a figure typed in once.

We do not publish a ride-hailing position for this airport, because we could not verify one at a source we would stand behind. What the law does say is that a private hire journey in Spain must be contracted before it starts, and those vehicles may not cruise or wait for custom, so anything you arrange on the spot at the door is not that.

Express pick-up is what your fixed price includes, so contact your driver as soon as you land, using the number in your supplier details email. Being met inside the hall with a name board is meet and greet, a paid extra you add at checkout.

Yes, on request when you book. Tell us the ages and we will pass the requirement to the local supplier. Vehicles run from a saloon carrying up to three people with three standard suitcases, through an estate for four and a people carrier for up to five, to an eight-seat van.

On a daytime arrival, travelling alone or as a couple with hand luggage, heading into Las Palmas. Line 60 leaves twice an hour for most of the day and costs EUR 2.95 to Santa Catalina, which no car will beat on money. Book the car for an evening landing in the south, for a group, for hold luggage, or when the last service to your resort has already gone.

Cancellations made more than 24 hours before your scheduled pick-up are free. Inside 24 hours the booking is charged in full. Prices are per vehicle, fixed when you book, and paid online by card.
