A rank car is metered instead: on Fare 1 the meter opens at 3.85 euros, which covers the first 1,500 metres, and then runs at 1.35 euros a kilometre, the road distance is about 7.5 km, and the 2.10 euro airport supplement is added on top. That is a short, cheap run on the meter, and we say so.

Aena gives line 22 to Arrecife as approximately every 40-50 minutes, line 23 to Arrecife and Playa Honda as approximately every 60 minutes, and line 161 to Puerto del Carmen and Playa Blanca as approximately every 30-60 minutes; line 61 makes one late run south at 22:30. The operator lists twenty-two line 22 departures from Aeropuerto T2 between 05:45 and 23:15, and warns that from 1 October 2026 line 22 changes its hours and line 22D stops running.

We are not publishing a figure, because Arrecife Bus does not publish a single-ticket fare table on its website. It sells stored-value bono cards instead, with the Bono General taking 10 per cent off the ticket price, sold on board and at its Arrecife, Playa Blanca and Intercambiador offices. A dated number we cannot stand behind is worse than none.

Because the meter moves to a different band. Fare 2 runs from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. and all day on Sundays and public holidays, opening at 4.25 euros and charging 1.55 euros a kilometre instead of 3.85 and 1.35. A separate Christmas band applies on 24 and 31 December and on 5 January in the last two hours before midnight. Our price does not have bands: it is the same figure whatever time you land.

At the airport's designated pick-up point, and you reach them on the mobile number in your supplier details email. About 13 minutes with the road clear, over roughly 7.5 km on the LZ-2. That figure is free-flow, which assumes no traffic, so treat it as the best case rather than the usual one.

Aena publishes no drop-off charge and no free drop-off window for this airport. The car parks are P1 at Terminal T1 and P2 at Terminal T2, and the only place their rates appear is inside Aena's own booking tool, so check there before you drive over.

Child seats are on request when you book. A saloon takes up to three passengers and three standard suitcases; an estate takes a fourth passenger with the same three cases; a people carrier takes up to five, and an eight-seat vehicle covers larger parties. Tell us the party and the cases at the quote stage and the vehicle is sized to them, because a family of four is already past a saloon whatever they are carrying.
