A rank taxi is different: it runs on a regulated tariff, and the interurban rates are set by the Canary Islands Government rather than by the airport or the driver. It calls at Estacion Costa Adeje, Magma, Llanos de Troya, Columbus, Zentral Center, El Camison, Los Cristianos and Aeropuerto Sur, at 3,70 EUR for the full route in cash or with a Ten+ travel card. The line page runs it every day, about every 30 minutes, 40 minutes end to end, with departures from the airport from 6:30 to 21:40.

Line 40's last departure from the airport is 21:40 and its first is 6:30. After that the night service is line 711, which passes the airport southbound towards Los Cristianos and Costa Adeje between 23:00 and 4:50, every day. From 4:50 there is nothing scheduled towards Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas or Costa Adeje until line 40 restarts at 6:30. Line 415 does call in that window, at 5:55, 6:00, 6:25 and 6:30 on working days, but it runs inland between El Fraile and San Isidro.

About 17 minutes with an empty road, over roughly 17.7 km, or 11.0 miles. That is a free-flow figure with no traffic model in it, so treat it as the best case. Turismo de Tenerife gives 18 kilometres for the same pair and 20 kilometres to Costa Adeje.

Uber lists Adeje, Arona, Granadilla de Abona and Santa Cruz de Tenerife among its Canary Islands cities, and on its Adeje page says you cannot request a taxi there through the app, only UberX, priced upfront rather than on the regulated meter. Whether a car is actually available at the terminal at the hour you land is a different question from whether the app covers the area, and we would not plan an early departure around it.

At the pick-up point your driver names when you reach them by phone on landing. Aena publishes the taxi rank location at Terminal, Floor 0, Arrivals but no fixed meeting point for pre-booked transfers, so there is no signposted bay to head for and the rank is not it. Bear in mind that between 11:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m., and when there are no flights, the terminal is closed to the public, with access limited to staff and to passengers in the hours before their flight departs, so plan the drop-off around your check-in rather than around an early wait inside.

Child seats are available on request when you book. A saloon takes up to 3 passengers and 3 standard suitcases, an estate takes a fourth passenger with the same 3 cases, a people carrier takes up to 5 and an eight-seat van up to 8. Tell us the buggy or the golf clubs at booking rather than at the kerb.
