When not to book us: We will not claim to be the cheapest way to Altınkum, because for this pair nobody publishes a price to compare us with. Until 7 August 2026 there was an honest cheap answer: the Havaş shuttle bus between Didim and Milas-Bodrum Airport. Havaş withdrew it, Didim came off the station list, and what is left from this airport is a single scheduled service to Bodrum's own bus terminal at TRY 270. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's airport fares stop at the provincial boundary in any case, and Didim is in Aydın. So the realistic alternatives are all metered cars: the rank outside arrivals, or the same kind of car hailed through an app at TRY 40 plus whatever the meter reads. Neither of those is a price you can see before you travel, on a run the district council's own beach page puts at 80 km. Our case is not that we undercut them. It is that the number is agreed before you fly, the driver has your flight, and the car goes to the hotel rather than to a terminal in the wrong town.

Where you meet your driver

  1. Book to the hotel or apartment, not to Didim. Didim Belediyesi puts almost all of the district's hotels at Altınkum, 2 km from the town centre, and Akbük and Mavişehir are further out again, so a driver sent to the town costs you the last leg of the journey.
  2. Send us the flight number, not just the terminal name. The airport's own guide names a Domestic Terminal and an International Terminal, and the flight number is what tells the driver which of the two you will walk out of.
  3. Contact your driver as soon as you land, on the number in your supplier details email. That email arrives separately from your booking confirmation, so save the number to your phone before you leave home.
  4. Your fare includes express pick-up, with the driver waiting at the airport's designated pick-up point. That point is ours: the airport publishes no meeting point for pre-booked drivers anywhere on its site, which is why the phone call matters more here than the signage. Being met in the arrivals hall with a name board is meet and greet, a paid extra you add at checkout.
  5. The rank is not where your driver is. Taxis work the areas set aside for them at the arrivals and departures of both terminals, around the clock, and yours is waiting at the designated pick-up point instead, so ring them rather than joining that queue.

Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.

Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.

Questions people ask about this route

How much is a taxi from Bodrum Airport to Altınkum?

Our price is quoted live above and fixed when you book. A rank car is metered and there is no published figure to set against it: the airport's own taxi page gives a phone number for the cooperative and no fare, no tariff and no airport supplement. Didim Belediyesi puts Altınkum 80 km from the airport, which is the length of run the meter would be counting.

Is there a bus from Bodrum Airport to Didim?

Not any more. Havaş ran a shuttle between Didim and Milas-Bodrum Airport and discontinued it on 7 August 2026. Didim has since come off the operator's station list entirely, and the only destination Havaş now serves from this airport is Bodrum Center.

Is there a municipal bus to Didim from the airport?

No. Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's airport fare table lists five destinations from Milas/Bodrum Airport, from Milas Üç Yol at TRY 220 to Menteşe Otogar at TRY 350, and every one of them is inside Muğla province. Didim is in Aydın province, which is a different metropolitan authority with a different network.

How far is Altınkum from Bodrum Airport, and where is it in relation to Didim town?

Didim Belediyesi gives 80 km on its own page for the beach, which is the figure the district publishes, and the live quote above shows the road distance our supplier is actually driving. Altınkum sits 2 km from Didim town, on the coast with the town behind it, and the district's page is blunt about which one matters to a visitor: the great majority of Didim's hotels are at Altınkum, along a beach with a 1,606 metre perimeter that has taken the Blue Flag repeatedly.

Can I use Uber to get to Didim from the airport?

You can open the app, but what it offers in Muğla is a single product called Yellow Taxi for up to four passengers, charged on the taximeter with a TRY 40 booking fee included. That is a metered taxi with an app in front of it, so it gives you neither a fixed price nor a vehicle bigger than a car, and the driver is being asked to leave the province.

Is it worth flying to a different airport for Didim?

Possibly, and we would rather say so here than let you find out afterwards. Didim sits in Aydın province, well north of Muğla, and the airport you land at decides the length of the transfer more than anything else on this page. If your dates are flexible, price the flights against the transfer rather than on the flight fare alone.

Is Altınkum open out of season?

Largely, yes. Didim Belediyesi says the resort's tourism businesses stay open for roughly eight to nine months of the year, which is longer than most of this coast. Transfers run all year either way, at the price fixed when you book.

Who is driving me, and are they licensed?

Your driver works for a licensed local supplier, not for us. Turkey's Karayolu Taşıma Yönetmeliği makes carrying passengers by car for money an authorised activity: an A1 authorisation covers domestic work, A2 covers unscheduled international work, cars on either must be under 8 years old, and A1 cars must have an engine of at least 1,900 cc. The supplier's name and number reach you in the supplier details email rather than on this page.

What happens if my flight lands late?

Nothing changes for you. Your flight is tracked at no extra charge and the pick-up moves to the real landing time, so book against the scheduled arrival rather than padding it. The free waiting window in your fare also starts from the moment the aircraft is on the ground, which is the margin that matters on a run this long, where the driver has come a long way to be there.

How many of us fit, and what if we cancel?

A saloon takes 3 passengers and three standard suitcases. An estate takes 4 passengers with the same three cases, a people carrier 5 with four, and our eight-seater 8 with eight. Child seats on request at booking. Cancel more than 24 hours before pick-up and nothing is charged; inside 24 hours the fare is payable in full. Payment is by card at the time of booking and covers the vehicle, not the seat count.
