Barcelona Airport to Lloret de Mar taxi
From £110.86 fixed for a pre-booked saloon to Barcelona Airport.
Lloret de Mar is from £110.86 by private car from Barcelona Airport, one fare for the whole vehicle and settled at the moment of booking, over 56.1 miles and roughly 1 hour 9 minutes of driving. Nothing on rails reaches the town itself. Rodalies sells Lloret as an onward coach leg from Blanes under a combined ticket, which leaves two realistic alternatives: a Sarfa departure from Terminal 1 arrivals, or a meter running on the Generalitat's interurban scale.

| Rank taxi, metered on the Generalitat's scale | Cost for 2: The Generalitat's interurban scale rather than Barcelona's: 0,82 euros a kilometre with a 7,25 euro minimum on weekday daytimes, 0,89 euros with a 7,90 euro minimum otherwise, a 4,60 euro airport supplement, and kilometres counted out and back | Journey time: no journey time is published | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? No |
| Sarfa coach from Terminal T1 | Cost for 2: Priced by the operator at the time of booking; Aena publishes no figure for it, and lists the departures as running from T1 arrivals to Lloret de Mar and on along the Costa Brava | Journey time: no journey time is published | Door to door? | Train to Blanes, then a connection | Cost for 2: A rail fare plus a second fare from the railhead, or the Tren plus Bus combined ticket; the airport's only line runs into Barcelona, the coastal R1 reaches Blanes, and Lloret is a further leg beyond it | Journey time: no journey time is published | Door to door? When not to book us: If there are one or two of you with light luggage and a hotel in the middle of Lloret, the Sarfa coach from Terminal 1 arrivals will cost less than any car, and we would take it ourselves. Aena lists Lloret de Mar among the Costa Brava towns Sarfa serves from this airport, with its stop and its ticket desk on Level 0 at T1, though Aena publishes no fare for it so check the price with the operator before you plan around it. Two things are worth weighing before you decide you have saved money. The first is where the coach leaves you: at the Lloret coach station up behind the town, not at your door, and Lloret climbs. The apartments above Fenals and out towards Santa Cristina and Canyelles are a steep walk or a second fare from there. The second is that there is no railway to fall back on. Lloret has no station of its own. Rodalies presents it as an onward coach connection from Blanes under a combined ticket, which makes the rail route a train into Barcelona, a crossing of the city, a second train up the Maresme and then a coach, with cases for all of it. Sagalés Airport Line, which runs the better-known airport coaches, does not serve Lloret from Barcelona at all: its two Barcelona airport lines go to Blanes and to Girona and Figueres, and its Lloret service runs from Girona airport instead. So miss the last Sarfa departure and the cheap options thin out quickly. The car earns its money on a late landing, on a party of four or more, on a hillside address, and on the meter you avoid: leave the Barcelona metropolitan area and a rank car switches to the Generalitat's interurban scale, which treats the route as a closed circuit back to the point of departure unless you expressly agree otherwise, and puts any toll on you including the driver's journey home.
Where you meet your driver
- Give us the hotel or apartment and the street, not just Lloret de Mar. The town runs from the seafront up into the hills, and Fenals, Canyelles and Santa Cristina are separate corners of it rather than districts you can walk between with cases.
- Sarfa goes from Terminal 1, and Aena puts both its stop and its ticket desk there on Level 0 in arrivals, with a second ticket point over at Terminal T2B. Land at T2 and the width of the airfield stands between you and either of them.
- Ring the driver the moment you are through passport control. Their number arrives in the supplier details email, which is a separate message from your booking receipt, so it is worth storing in your contacts before you fly out.
- Express pick-up comes with the fare: your driver waits at the pick-up point the airport designates for booked cars. Being met inside arrivals and walked out to the car, with a name board held up, is meet and greet, and that is a paid extra you add at checkout.
- The figure you agreed stands whichever way the driver goes, motorway or the old coast road. Ride on a meter instead and Article 5 hands you every toll on the route, plus the one the driver pays getting home again.
Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.
Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.

The return direction is quoted separately, because the two legs can be won by different operators. It is currently from £110.86 for a saloon.
Questions people ask about this route
How much is a taxi from Barcelona Airport to Lloret de Mar?
The figure above is live and becomes your fare the moment you book. From a rank it is metered, and not on Barcelona's meter: the town lies well beyond the metropolitan boundary, so the Generalitat's interurban scale takes over at 0,82 euros a kilometre on weekdays between 8 and 20 hours, with a floor of 7,25 euros, and 0,89 euros with a floor of 7,90 euros at night, on Saturdays and on public holidays, plus 4,60 euros for entering the airport. Article 3.1 of that order hires you the whole car for a closed circuit, the shortest way out and back to where the driver started, unless you agree something else in advance, which is why the kilometres counted come to roughly double the ones you travel.
Is there a train from Barcelona Airport to Lloret de Mar?
No, and there is no train to Lloret at all. Rodalies' own page for the coastal R1 line presents Lloret de Mar as an onward coach connection from Blanes under the Tren plus Bus combined ticket rather than as a station on the line. Add to that the fact that the airport's only railway is the R2 Nord into Barcelona, and the rail route becomes two trains and a coach with a city crossing in the middle.
Is there a coach from Barcelona Airport to Lloret de Mar?
Yes. Aena lists Sarfa as the operator connecting this airport with the main Costa Brava towns and names Lloret de Mar among them, with its stop and ticket sales at Terminal T1, Level 0, Arrivals and a further ticket point at Terminal T2B. Aena does not publish the fare or the timetable, so take those from the operator before you rely on them.
Why do so many airport coach sites only offer Lloret from Girona?
Because the best-known airport coach operator does exactly that. Sagalés Airport Line runs two lines from Barcelona airport, one to Blanes by the N-II and one to Girona and Figueres, and its Lloret de Mar service is line 613 from Girona airport. If you have booked into Barcelona rather than Girona and found the timetables confusing, that is why.
How long does the drive take?
Nobody publishes a time for this run. The interurban order that prices a metered car sets fares, not timetables, so treat what follows as our own estimate: a little over an hour on a clear morning, and appreciably worse on a summer Saturday when the whole coast changes guests at once. That is the afternoon on which a meter keeps counting while the car does not move, since the order charges waiting by the hour.
Who pays the motorway toll?
Not you, on a booking with us: the fare was settled before anybody set off and no road charge is added to it afterwards. On a meter the answer is the passenger, and Article 5 says so in terms, stretching the liability to cover the driver's toll on the empty run home.
Can you take us to an apartment up the hill?
Yes, and this is the main practical reason people book a car for Lloret. Much of the town's accommodation sits above the two bays, on streets no scheduled service was ever going to reach. Put the block name and any gate code in the booking notes, because a map pin on a hillside street in Lloret is often forty metres and one flight of steps from the actual entrance.
Are you cheaper than the coach?
For one or two people, usually not, and we would rather say so here. A coach seat is a fare per person and ours is a fare per vehicle, so the arithmetic turns somewhere around three passengers and turns decisively with four adults and hold luggage. What the car buys before that point is the departure time, the door and the certainty on a late landing.
How many of us fit in one vehicle?
A saloon takes up to 3 passengers and 3 standard suitcases, an estate 4 passengers and 3 suitcases, a people carrier 5 passengers and 4 suitcases, and our largest vehicle 8 passengers and 8 suitcases. Child seats are available on request when you book.
What if we cancel?
More than 24 hours before pick-up, nothing is charged. Inside 24 hours the fare is payable in full. Payment is by card at the time of booking and covers the whole vehicle rather than the seat count, and the amount you see is the amount taken.
