Dalaman Airport to İçmeler taxi

From £52.71 fixed for a pre-booked saloon to Dalaman Airport.

A private car from Dalaman Airport to İçmeler is from £52.71 for a saloon, fixed the moment you book. It covers 63.6 miles in about 1 hour 43 minutes. İçmeler sits a few kilometres beyond Marmaris on the far side of the bay and is priced above it, which is not an error: the airport's own taxi cooperative does the same, pricing Marmaris at 5,000 lira and İçmeler at 5,200.

How this compares

Travelling as
Airport Taxi Hub, pre-bookedCost for 2: £52.71 one price per car, up to 3 passengersFrom £52.71, fixed, including 60 minutes free waiting after your flight landsJourney time: 1 hour 43 minutesDoor to door? YesPre-bookable? Yes
Taxi from the airport rankCost for 2: 5,200 lira on the cooperative's published list, 90 pounds in its own column, against 5,000 lira for MarmarisJourney time: The same road, no change at MarmarisDoor to door? YesPre-bookable? Yes
Havaş coach to Marmaris, then line 10-1ACost for 2: 420 lira to Marmaris bus terminal, then a separate 13 km local fare: our own reading of Muğla's band table puts that in the 10 to 15 kilometre band, 55 lira for an adult on a Muğla card, while the table's footnote charges district minibuses on the 2D Muğla Plus Kart column instead, 70 lira over the same bandJourney time: 90 minutes to Marmaris, then the corniche line round the bayDoor to door? NoPre-bookable? No

When not to book us: The two-leg route is genuinely cheap and we will not pretend it is not: 420 lira gets you to Marmaris bus terminal, and MUTTAŞ line 10-1A covers the remaining 13 kilometres round the bay, and our own reading of Muğla's band table puts that distance in the 10 to 15 kilometre band, 55 lira for an adult on a Muğla card. The table names no lines, and its footnote charges district minibuses on the 2D Muğla Plus Kart column instead, 70 lira over the same band, so treat either figure as our arithmetic rather than a fare quoted for this service. If there are one or two of you, you land in daylight and you are staying near the İçmeler front, that is the answer. What makes it harder work than it reads is the joint. The airport leg has no published departure time, because Havaş prints a note for that direction saying services are laid on for domestic flights landing at Dalaman, and the handover happens at a bus terminal set back from Marmaris with your cases. The second leg is a town line rather than a transfer, and it is busy in season. There is also a fare oddity worth naming, since it looks like a mistake and is not. İçmeler is a few kilometres further than Marmaris and costs more, on our price and on the rank's. The airport taxi cooperative publishes Marmaris at 105 kilometres for 5,000 lira and İçmeler at 110 for 5,200, and groups İçmeler with Yalancıboğaz round the headland. Everything past Marmaris on that peninsula steps up: Turunç, Orhaniye and D-Maris are all 6,000 lira on the same sheet. Neither published sheet gives a reason for the step, and we are not going to invent one; what matters when you book is that it is there.

Where you meet your driver

  1. Book to the hotel name in İçmeler, not to Marmaris. The two are separate places on either side of a headland, and a driver given only Marmaris has finished the job several kilometres short of yours.
  2. Come down to the arrivals level and ring your driver as soon as you land. The number is in your supplier details email, which is a different email from your booking confirmation.
  3. Do not head for the car park. That is the Havaş loading area, and your driver waits at the airport's designated pick-up point instead.
  4. Express pick-up is included in your fare. Meet and greet in the arrivals hall with a name board is a paid extra at checkout, and either way your flight is tracked, with the free waiting window in your fare starting at touchdown.
  5. If your hotel is up behind the front rather than on it, say so in the booking notes. The İçmeler hillside is steep, the streets are narrow in season, and a driver who knows the address before setting out does not spend twenty minutes finding it.

Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.

Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.

İçmeler to Dalaman Airport

The return direction is quoted separately, because the two legs can be won by different operators. It is currently from £52.71 for a saloon.

Questions people ask about this route

Why is İçmeler more expensive than Marmaris when it is further along the same road?

It is further, and past Marmaris the published prices step up. The airport's own taxi cooperative does the same thing on its list: Marmaris at 105 km for 5,000 lira, İçmeler and Yalancıboğaz at 110 km for 5,200, and then Turunç, Orhaniye and D-Maris all at 130 km for 6,000. Neither sheet gives a reason for the step. What they show is that every point past Marmaris on that peninsula is priced above it.

Is there a bus from Dalaman Airport to İçmeler?

Not a direct one. The Muğla airport fare table stops at Marmaris at 97 km for 420 lira, and lists nothing beyond it on that peninsula. The scheduled route is a coach to Marmaris bus terminal and then MUTTAŞ line 10-1A over the remaining 13 km.

How much is the local bus from Marmaris to İçmeler?

MUTTAŞ gives line 10-1A as 13 km, and Muğla charges its lines by distance band on an electronic card. We read 13 km into the 10 to 15 kilometre band, which is 55 lira for an adult on the civilian column, with lower student and 60 to 65 and teachers' columns beside it; the table's footnote charges district minibuses on the 2D Muğla Plus Kart column instead, 70 lira over the same band. The table names no lines, so take either figure as our arithmetic rather than a published fare for this service. Line 10-1B runs a slightly longer version at 14 km by way of Armutalan and the new state hospital.

How much is a taxi from Dalaman Airport to İçmeler?

Our price is quoted live above and fixed when you book. The rank is not metered: the cooperative named by the airport publishes 5,200 lira for the run, which its own sheet converts to 90 pounds.

How long does the transfer take?

Allow a little more than the run to Marmaris. Havaş takes 90 minutes to Marmaris bus terminal with its stops, and İçmeler adds the length of the bay on a road that bends the whole way. The extra kilometres are the slow ones.

Can the coach drop me nearer than Marmaris?

Only on its own route. The airport says Havaş will set passengers down at designated points on the main road after leaving the airport if the driver is told in advance, but that main road is the one to Marmaris by way of Ortaca, Köyceğiz and Gökova. İçmeler is past the end of it.

Is it worth staying in Marmaris and travelling over instead?

That is a holiday question rather than a transfer one, but the transport answer is that the two are well connected. MUTTAŞ runs two lines between them, 10-1A at 13 km and 10-1B at 14 km through Armutalan, so moving between the two towns during your stay is straightforward even if the transfer in is not.

Where will my driver be waiting at Dalaman Airport?

At the airport's designated pick-up point on the arrivals level, which is neither the rank nor the car park. YDA publishes no meeting point of its own for pre-booked drivers, which is exactly why the phone call matters: ring yours as soon as you land, on the number in your supplier details email, and they will name the spot.

What size vehicle do we need?

A saloon takes up to three passengers and three standard suitcases. An estate takes four passengers and three suitcases, a people carrier five passengers and four suitcases, and the largest vehicle we quote up to eight passengers. Prices are per vehicle rather than per seat, and child seats are on request when you book.

Can we cancel, and how do we pay?

Cancel more than 24 hours before pick-up and nothing is charged. Inside 24 hours the fare is payable in full. Payment is online by card at the time of booking, and the amount you see is the amount taken.
