Innsbruck Airport to St Anton am Arlberg taxi

From £184.15 fixed for a pre-booked saloon to Innsbruck Airport.

A private car from Innsbruck Airport to St Anton am Arlberg is from £184.15 for a saloon, fixed the moment you book. It covers 59.4 miles in about 1 hour 12 minutes. The thing that makes this pair different from every other resort on the hub is that St Anton has its own mainline station with direct services from Innsbruck all day, so the honest comparison here is not a car against a valley bus but a car against a railway.

When not to book us: St Anton is the resort where we would most readily tell a couple to leave the car alone. The village has a mainline station on the Arlberg route, on the summer sheet that ran to 14 October 2026 direct services from Innsbruck ran at least two hourly, the quicker ones taking about one hour and ten minutes though some were closer to two hours, and the walk from the platform into St Anton is short. For two people with normal luggage that is cheaper than any private vehicle and about as reliable as Austrian transport gets. Two things spoil it. The first is the gap at the start: the airport has no station of its own, so you must first take line F into Innsbruck, and a party of four with skis making that change in a hurry is not having the relaxed arrival the timetable promises. The second is the end of the day, because on that sheet the last direct service left Innsbruck at 22.16, and a delayed evening flight can miss the last train outright. A booked car makes its case on those two edges, on a group where four railway fares stop being cheap, and on an address in St Christoph, Pettneu or up the Verwall where the railway was never going to help.

Where you meet your driver

  1. Book to the building, not to the village. St Anton, St Christoph, Nasserein and Pettneu are strung along the Stanzertal and a driver sent to the wrong one loses you half an hour at the end of a flight.
  2. Come out to the front of the terminal after you clear arrivals. The airport puts its taxi stand there and publishes no separate meeting point for pre-booked drivers, so that forecourt is where your driver will direct you.
  3. Ring your driver as soon as the aircraft is on stand. The number is in your supplier details email rather than in the booking confirmation, so save it to your phone before you leave home.
  4. Express pick-up is included in what you paid, with the driver at the airport's designated pick-up point. If you would rather be met in the hall with a name board, meet and greet is a paid extra you choose at checkout.
  5. In winter the vehicle is the operator's problem, not yours. Austrian law requires winter tyres on all four wheels in wintry conditions between 1 November and 15 April, or chains on two driven wheels where the road is under continuous snow or ice, and the price you agreed covers whatever the Arlberg is doing that afternoon.

Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.

Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.

Questions people ask about this route

How much is a taxi from Innsbruck Airport to St Anton am Arlberg?

Our price is quoted live above and fixed when you book. There is no meter figure to set beside it, because Innsbruck's taxi tariff covers only journeys inside the city and expressly excludes anything beyond it. What the airport does publish is a sheet of standard recommended fares from the terminal, and it puts St. Anton am Arlberg at 215 euros, St. Christoph at 230 euros and Pettneu at 200 euros, with a warning that the figures move with passenger numbers and luggage. That guide figure is for the whole car, and on recent quotes it has sat close to our price or below it, so compare the two on the day: booking with us buys a price agreed before you fly and a driver already waiting, not a saving.

Is there a train from Innsbruck Airport to St Anton?

Not from the terminal, but there is one from Innsbruck. The airport has no station and sends rail travellers into Innsbruck Hauptbahnhof on bus line F, about 20 minutes. From the main station, direct services to St. Anton am Arlberg run at least two hourly and take about one hour and ten minutes on the quicker workings, with some closer to two hours. Ski Arlberg confirms that direct services reach both Langen and St. Anton.

What time is the first and last train from Innsbruck to St Anton?

On the summer timetable the tourist board published for 14 June to 14 October 2026, the first left Innsbruck at 04.53 and reached St. Anton at 06.15, and the last left at 22.16 and arrived at 23.28. That sheet has now ended, so check the winter timetable for your date before you rely on those times. The last train is the catch for anyone on an evening flight: miss it and the railway is finished for the day, which is the usual reason people book a car for that slot.

How far is St Anton from Innsbruck Airport?

Ski Arlberg gives Innsbruck as the nearest Austrian airport at 100 km. By road that is the A12 west down the Inn valley and then the S16 up the Stanzertal, which is fast in summer and slower on a Saturday in February when the whole Arlberg is changing over at once.

Do I need winter tyres or snow chains for this transfer?

Your driver's vehicle does, and it will have them. Austrian law allows a car to be driven in wintry conditions between 1 November and 15 April only with winter tyres on all four wheels, or with chains on at least two driven wheels where the road is under a continuous layer of snow or ice. It is the condition of the road that triggers the rule rather than the date, which is why an Inn valley that looks clear and a Stanzertal that does not can be governed differently on the same journey.

Is St Anton worth visiting outside the ski season?

Ski Arlberg runs a mountain summer as well, published for 2026 as 13 June to 11 October, with individual cable cars opening and closing according to the weather and the period. Transfers are quicker and more predictable then, because the Stanzertal road is not carrying a full changeover Saturday.

Can you take skis, boards and boot bags?

Yes, if you tell us at booking rather than at the kerb. Ski kit changes which vehicle is sent rather than just how the boot is packed. A saloon takes three passengers and three standard suitcases, an estate four passengers and three suitcases, a people carrier five passengers and four suitcases, and our eight seater eight of each. Ski bags count as luggage, so four adults with full kit is an estate or a people carrier rather than a saloon.

Can you collect from a chalet for an early flight?

Yes, at any hour, at the price fixed when you booked. Give the chalet name and the street in the booking notes, because a great many St Anton addresses are up side roads that a map pin alone does not resolve at six in the morning in the dark.

Where will my driver be at the airport?

At the airport's designated pick-up point, on the forecourt side where the taxi stand sits. Innsbruck publishes no fixed meeting point for pre-booked drivers, so contact yours as soon as you land, on the number in your supplier details email, and they will tell you exactly where to walk. That express pick-up is included in what you paid.

What are the cancellation terms and how do I pay?

More than 24 hours before pick-up, nothing is charged. Inside 24 hours the fare is payable in full. Payment is online by card at the time of booking and covers the whole vehicle rather than a seat, and the amount you see is the amount taken.
