Arriving at ExCeL London
- Two entrances, two stations. Custom House, on the Elizabeth line and the DLR, is about 200 m from the West Entrance; Prince Regent, on the DLR, is about 200 m from the East Entrance, and ExCeL sends ICC visitors there. The entrances are about 600 m apart, and walking from Prince Regent to Custom House through the venue is about 1 km, so check your hall before you set off. (ExCeL London, checked 26 October 2026; ExCeL London, checked 26 October 2026)
- By car or taxi, ExCeL gives E16 1XL as the postcode for the venue. It lists a West drop-off and pick-up point (E16 1XL) and an East one (E16 1FR), but only in the coach and minibus part of its page, and it does not say where cars and taxis should stop. Tell your driver which entrance you need and they will set you down there. (ExCeL London, checked 26 October 2026)
- There is no driving up to the hall doors: ExCeL's event pages say the road across the campus, Sandstone Lane and Seagull Lane, is closed. Drivers are asked not to idle at the drop-off points, and at busy times ExCeL's Traffic or Concierge staff may direct traffic. (ExCeL London, checked 26 October 2026; ExCeL London, checked 26 October 2026)
- For WTM London, the organiser says the taxi drop-off and pick-up point is at the west end of the venue. (WTM London (organiser site), checked 26 October 2026)
Leaving ExCeL London
- ExCeL's 2024 travel guide says there is a taxi rank on site, and WTM London places its taxi pick-up point at the west end, but ExCeL's current pages do not say where the rank is by entrance. If you need to be sure of a car at the end of a long show day, pre-book and tell us which entrance you will leave from. (ExCeL London, checked 26 October 2026; WTM London (organiser site), checked 26 October 2026)
- Back to the airport by rail, the Elizabeth line runs direct from Custom House to Heathrow (ExCeL quotes 43 minutes; TfL's planner showed about 50 from Heathrow to Custom House on a weekday morning), and London City is a 15-minute walk or a short DLR ride. (ExCeL London, checked 26 October 2026; ExCeL London, checked 26 October 2026; TfL Journey Planner API, checked 26 October 2026)
- Back by road, with no traffic at all: Heathrow is 39.8 km and about 65 minutes, Stansted 58.2 km and about 62 minutes, Gatwick 73.8 km and about 63 minutes, Luton 79.6 km and about 69 minutes, Southend 56.1 km and about 53 minutes, and London City 3.1 km. Treat those as floors and leave more before a flight. - Catching a Eurostar? Network Rail says a marked drop-off zone on Pancras Road leads directly to Eurostar departures, with 2 minutes' waiting for most passengers at the adjacent point. The drive from ExCeL is 14.8 km, about 35 minutes with empty roads. (Network Rail, checked 26 October 2026; OSRM routing engine over OpenStreetMap data, checked 26 October 2026)
ExCeL London transfers: questions
What's on at ExCeL London?
The next events listed are World Travel Market London 2026 (3 to 5 November 2026), Event Tech Live London 2026 (11 to 12 November 2026) and Going Global Live 2026 (11 to 12 November 2026). The full list on this page is taken from each organiser's or the venue's own listing and dated when we checked it.
How do I get to ExCeL London?
By the Elizabeth line or the DLR to Custom House for the West Entrance, or the DLR to Prince Regent for the East Entrance and the ICC. ExCeL says the Elizabeth line reaches central London in 12 minutes. By car or taxi, use postcode E16 1XL and tell the driver which entrance you want.
What is the closest airport to ExCeL London?
London City. ExCeL calls it the closest airport, a 15-minute walk or a short trip by DLR, bus or taxi. The DLR to Custom House takes about 13 minutes with a change at Canning Town and costs £2.20 off-peak, and the drive is 2.2 km.
How do I get from St Pancras or Eurostar to ExCeL?
Take Thameslink from St Pancras International to Farringdon and change to the Elizabeth line for Custom House, 24 to 28 minutes, at £3.30 off-peak or £3.90 at peak. The Northern line to Moorgate, a walk to Liverpool Street and the Elizabeth line takes about 24 minutes too. Network Rail lists taxi ranks on Midland Road and on Pancras Road; a pre-booked car is a fixed price for the 12.7 km, about 29 minutes on an empty road.
Which entrance and station should I use for my hall?
ExCeL advises Prince Regent for the East Entrance and the ICC, and Custom House for the West Entrance. The two entrances are about 600 m apart, so check your event's own directions for the hall and pick the nearer end.
How do I get to WTM London from the airport?
WTM London 2026 runs at ExCeL from 3 to 5 November, and the organiser puts the taxi drop-off and pick-up point at the west end. From Heathrow the Elizabeth line runs direct to Custom House, at that end, in about 50 minutes; from London City the DLR takes about 13. From Gatwick, Luton, Stansted and Southend the train needs at least one change, which is where a fixed-price car to the west end earns its keep for teams and luggage.
Can I park at ExCeL London?
Yes, but pre-book: ExCeL says that is the only way to guarantee a space, and during WTM London the car park is for pre-booked customers only. Access is only via the A13, not from Western Gateway or Seagull Lane, and the height limit is 1.9 m, with a few over-height spaces up to 2.8 m. ExCeL's 2024 guide gives 1,800 spaces. We did not find the tariff on the pages we read.
Is there a taxi rank at ExCeL?
ExCeL's 2024 travel guide says there is a taxi rank on site or easy drop-off and pick-up, and WTM London says its taxi point is at the west end. ExCeL's current pages do not say where the rank is by entrance, so if you need a car at a set time, pre-book it to the entrance you will leave from.
