When not to book us: Luton is the airport where a car does the most work for its money. Public transport means three separate legs: the DART shuttle at £4.90, then the train from Luton Airport Parkway at £15.10 off-peak or £19.50 at peak, changing at Farringdon, with the rail part alone at 61 to 66 minutes. Added together that is £20 a head off-peak for one person, our own sum of two published fares rather than one ticket anyone sells, or £14.80 if you take the slower route that avoids Zone 1. The road is 74.8 km and about 70 minutes with nothing on it, so the car is not faster by much, if at all, on a busy day. What it saves is the handling: no shuttle, no platform change, no carrying luggage through Farringdon. Alone and travelling light, the train is fine. Two or more of you, cases, display kit or a late arrival, and one vehicle from the terminal to the ExCeL entrance is the easier trip.
Where you meet your driver
- London Luton sends pre-booked taxis to its Pick Up Zone, and that is where your driver collects you.
- Flights are tracked at no charge, so if yours is late the pick-up moves with it. Express pick-up is included; meet and greet, with your driver holding a name board in arrivals, is a paid extra you choose at checkout.
- Give the entrance, not just the venue. Custom House station serves ExCeL's West Entrance, about 200 m away, and Prince Regent the East Entrance, which ExCeL recommends for the ICC.
- ExCeL's set-down points are listed as West, E16 1XL, and East, E16 1FR, in the coach and minibus section of its page; the road across the campus is closed, so there is no stopping beside a hall. WTM London puts its taxi point at the west end.
Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.
Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.

Questions people ask about this route
How do I get from Luton Airport to ExCeL?
Take the Luton DART to Luton Airport Parkway, Thameslink to Farringdon and the Elizabeth line to Custom House. TfL's planner gives 61 to 66 minutes from Parkway, before the shuttle. Or book a car from the terminal to the ExCeL entrance you need.
Is there a direct train from Luton Airport to ExCeL?
No. You need the DART shuttle to reach the station, then at least one change on the train. The fare from Luton Airport Parkway is £15.10 off-peak and £19.50 at peak, and it does not include the shuttle.
What does the Luton DART add?
£4.90 for an adult single, for a 4-minute ride between the terminal and Luton Airport Parkway. The Parkway fares quoted on this page leave it out, so add it to each traveller.
How long is the drive from Luton to ExCeL?
About 75 km, or 46 miles, and about 70 minutes free-flow. ExCeL's guide says 1 hour 20 minutes by car, which is closer to what a weekday will give you.
Luton to ExCeL for WTM London: any tips?
WTM London 2026 runs from 3 to 5 November. The organiser puts the taxi drop-off and pick-up at the west end of ExCeL, so if your stand is at that end, ask for the West Entrance. A flight into Luton on the morning of the show plus three rail legs leaves little slack before doors open.
Can I book ExCeL back to Luton?
Yes, as a separate booking from the reverse section of this page. The drive is 79.6 km and about 69 minutes with no traffic, so allow plenty more before a flight.
