| Taxi from the airport rank, daytime | Cost for 2: Metered on Fare 1: a 3.85 euro start covering the first 1,500 metres, then 1.35 euros a kilometre, plus the 2.10 euro airport charge. Over 13.6 km that is roughly 22 euros | Journey time: About 19 minutes with the road clear | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? No |
| Taxi from the rank at night or on a Sunday | Cost for 2: Metered on Fare 2: a 4.25 euro start covering the first 1,500 metres, then 1.55 euros a kilometre, plus the same airport charge. When not to book us: This is the one Lanzarote resort where the cheap option is not really on the table. Aena lists five services at the terminals and every one of them runs to Arrecife, Playa Honda or the southern resorts; Costa Teguise is on none of them. Line 3, which does connect Costa Teguise with Puerto del Carmen, threads through Arrecife and Playa Honda and never calls at either terminal. So the scheduled version of this journey is two rides with a wait in Arrecife in the middle, with cases, having already queued at immigration. For one person with a rucksack that is a perfectly reasonable way to save money, and we will not pretend otherwise. For anybody else it is a poor trade, because the distance being saved on is short: 13.6 km, about 19 minutes with the road clear, which the meter prices at roughly 22 euros on the daytime band including the airport charge. A fixed price for the whole car is competing with a modest metered fare, not a cheap seat, and the gap it has to justify is a single unbroken ride against a connection made twice.
Where you meet your driver
- Walk out into the arrivals hall on floor 0 and wait there. The designated pick-up point is where your driver will be, and it is not the rank.
- Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email. It comes as its own email rather than attached to the confirmation, so it is worth screenshotting before you leave home.
- Name the hotel or the apartment block, not just Costa Teguise. The resort spreads from Pueblo Marinero round to the Las Caletas end, and the driver is quoted to a specific address rather than to a general area.
- Your fare covers express pick-up. A name board in the hall is meet and greet, added at checkout for a fee, and we would rather tell you that now than have you looking for a sign that was never booked.
- Late landing, no scheduled option: there is no airport service to Costa Teguise at any hour, so a pre-booked car and the rank are the two choices whatever time the wheels touch down.
Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.
Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.

The return direction is quoted separately, because the two legs can be won by different operators. It is currently from £34.01 for a saloon.
Questions people ask about this route
Is there a bus from Lanzarote Airport to Costa Teguise?
No, not a direct one. Aena lists lines 22, 23, 61, 161 and 162 at the terminals, and they serve Arrecife, Playa Honda, Puerto del Carmen, Uga and Playa Blanca. Costa Teguise is not among them, so the scheduled route is line 22 into Arrecife and then line 1 out to the resort.
Does line 3 from Costa Teguise stop at the airport?
It does not. Line 3 links Costa Teguise with Puerto del Carmen and passes through Arrecife, Los Marmoles, the Estacion de Guaguas, the Intercambiador, Poligono de Playa Honda and Matagorda, but neither Aeropuerto T1 nor Aeropuerto T2 is on its stop list. It is easy to assume otherwise from the map, which is why we are spelling it out.
How much is a taxi from Lanzarote Airport to Costa Teguise?
Our figure is quoted above, per vehicle, for your date. On the rank the meter does the work: 13.6 km at a 3.85 euro start for the first 1,500 metres and the daytime rate of 1.35 euros a kilometre after them, plus the 2.10 euro airport charge, is roughly 22 euros, and the night, Sunday and holiday band, a 4.25 euro start and 1.55 euros a kilometre, makes it roughly 25. Those are our sums over the published tariff rather than a quoted price.
How long does the transfer take?
About 19 minutes on a clear road, covering 13.6 km. The route leaves on the LZ-2, joins the LZ-3 around Arrecife and finishes on the LZ-18. The figure is free-flow, so it does not allow for the Arrecife ring at rush hour.
Would the two-bus route actually save much?
Less than you would expect, because the fare you are avoiding is small. A metered run is around 22 euros for the whole car by day, so once there are two or three of you the saving per head shrinks fast, and you are paying for it with a change in Arrecife and a second wait. Alone with hand luggage in the afternoon, it is a fair trade. With a family and hold bags it is not.
Can you take us on to Teguise market or Famara?
Yes, those are quoted as their own journeys rather than as an extension of this one. Arrecife Bus does run lines from Costa Teguise to Teguise market and Caleta de Famara if you would rather do it on a timetable during the week.
Is it per person or per vehicle?
Per vehicle, every time. Up to three passengers and three standard suitcases travel in a saloon, an estate carries a fourth passenger with the same three cases, five fit a people carrier and eight fit the largest vehicle. Ask for child seats in the booking form.
We land at midnight. Is that a problem?
No. Flight tracking is included, the driver is briefed on the real landing time, and the price you agreed is the price at midnight exactly as it is at midday. The rank would put the same trip on the higher night band instead.
What are the cancellation terms?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before the pick-up time. Inside 24 hours the full amount is charged. Payment is taken online by card at the time of booking, and the amount covers the vehicle rather than a headcount.
