Málaga Airport to Marbella taxi
From £74.46 fixed for a pre-booked saloon to Málaga Airport.
A private car from Málaga Airport to Marbella is from £74.46 for a saloon, fixed the moment you book. It covers 32.4 miles in about 36 minutes. The thing to understand about this pair is that no railway reaches Marbella at all: the Cercanías line stops dead at Fuengirola, so the real choice is between a car and the Avanzabús coach from the arrivals level.

How this compares
| Option | Cost for 2 | Journey time | Door to door? | Pre-bookable? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Taxi Hub, pre-booked | Cost for 2: £74.46 one price per car, up to 3 passengersFrom £74.46, fixed, including 60 minutes free waiting after your flight lands | Journey time: 36 minutes | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? Yes |
| Rank taxi, metered | Cost for 2: Guidance figures of about 74 euros by day and 84 euros at night or at weekends across the 52 km | Journey time: Roughly 45 minutes to an hour depending on the road and the season | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? No |
| Avanzabús coach to Marbella bus station | Cost for 2: Priced by the operator at the time of booking; Aena publishes no figure | Journey time: Airport to the bus station, then a local journey to your address | Door to door? No | Pre-bookable? Yes |
When not to book us: If you are one or two people going to central Marbella with light luggage, the Avanzabús coach from Floor 0 at arrivals will almost certainly cost less than any car, and we would take it ourselves, though Aena publishes no fare for it so check with the operator first. It sets you down at Marbella bus station, which is up behind the town rather than in it, and from there most visitors are taking a local taxi anyway, on Marbella's own tariff of 3,61 euros to start and 1,07 euros a kilometre. Weigh that second leg before you decide you have saved money. The car makes its case on three fronts. Marbella is 52 kilometres of coast road that a metered rank fare turns into something like 74 euros by day and 84 at night, and a fixed price agreed in advance does not care whether the A-7 is moving. Most addresses here are not the bus station: they are urbanisations strung between Elviria and San Pedro, up behind the Golden Mile, or along tracks a coach timetable was never going to reach. And there is no railway to fall back on, because the line stops at Fuengirola, so a late landing or a missed connection has no cheap alternative waiting behind it.
Where you meet your driver
- Book to the urbanisation and street, not to Marbella. Puerto Banús, Nueva Andalucía, Elviria, Las Chapas and the old town are widely separated, and a driver sent to the wrong one loses you half an hour at the end of a flight.
- Come out to Floor 0 at Arrivals, which is where Aena puts the road services and where the designated pick-up point is. The Avanzabús Marbella stop is on the same level, so do not be pulled into that queue by mistake.
- Call your driver as soon as the aircraft is on stand. The number is in the supplier details email rather than the booking confirmation, so save it to your phone before you leave home.
- Your fare includes express pick-up, with the driver at the designated point. If you would prefer to be met in the hall with a board, meet and greet is a paid extra chosen at checkout.
- The route may use the tolled AP-7 or the older coast road, and either way the amount you agreed does not move: the toll is not added to your fare afterwards.
Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.
Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.

The return direction is quoted separately, because the two legs can be won by different operators. It is currently from £74.46 for a saloon.
Questions people ask about this route
How much is a taxi from Málaga Airport to Marbella?
Our price is quoted live above and fixed when you book. A metered rank car is charged on the Andalusian interurban scale, and that scale counts the return leg: Article 7 treats the route as a closed circuit back to the start unless you agree otherwise. Run over 52 km there and back at 0,71 euros, the Ayuntamiento de Málaga's own guidance sheet arrives at about 74 euros by day and 84 euros at night, at weekends and on public holidays.
Is there a train from Málaga Airport to Marbella?
No. The Cercanías C-1 finishes at Fuengirola and nothing runs west of it, so every option to Marbella is a road one. This surprises people who have used the railway from the airport to Torremolinos or Benalmádena on a previous trip.
Is there a coach from the airport to Marbella?
Yes. Aena lists an Avanzabús line linking the airport with Marbella bus station, stopping on Floor 0 at Arrivals. Aena does not publish the fare and points travellers to the operator for timetables and prices, so check those before you plan around it.
How long does the drive take?
Usually three quarters of an hour to an hour for the 52 km, depending on which road the driver takes and the time of year. August afternoons on the free coastal road are slower than the figure suggests, which is exactly when a fixed price is worth having.
Do I pay the AP-7 toll?
Not separately. The motorway does charge: 5,70 euros Málaga to Marbella at the normal level and 9,25 euros at the special summer level for anyone who is not a registered regular user. With us that is the driver's problem, because your fare was agreed before the journey and does not change.
What do local taxis cost once I am in Marbella?
Marbella runs its own tariff, approved in April 2024: 3,61 euros to start and 1,07 euros a kilometre by day, 4,42 euros and 1,34 euros at night, at weekends and on holidays, with a minimum of 5,19 or 6,49 euros. Worth knowing if you plan to arrive at the bus station and finish the journey locally.
Where will my driver be at the airport?
At the designated pick-up point on the arrivals level. Contact them as soon as you land, on the number in your supplier details email, and they will tell you exactly where to walk to.
Can you collect from a villa for an early flight?
Yes, at any hour and at the price fixed when you booked. Give the gate code and the urbanisation name in the booking notes, because many Marbella addresses are behind a barrier that a map pin does not open.
How many of us fit in one vehicle?
Three people and three standard suitcases in a saloon, four in an estate, five in a people carrier and eight in the largest vehicle we quote. Golf bags need flagging at booking, since they change the vehicle required rather than just the boot arrangement.
What if we cancel?
More than 24 hours before pick-up, nothing is charged. Inside 24 hours the fare is payable in full. Payment is by card at the time of booking and covers the vehicle, not the seat count.
