Palma Airport to Magaluf taxi
From £57.35 fixed for a pre-booked saloon to Palma Airport.
A car booked ahead from Palma de Mallorca Airport to Magaluf is from £57.35 for a saloon and stays at that figure whatever time you land. The drive is 16.8 miles in about 21 minutes free-flowing, out on the Ma-1 and down the Ma-1015. Most of the reason to book this one is not the distance: it is party size and the hour, because the Palma tariff charges more per kilometre after nine at night and charges again for the fifth passenger.

How this compares
| Option | Cost for 2 | Journey time | Door to door? | Pre-bookable? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Taxi Hub, pre-booked | Cost for 2: £57.35 one price per car, up to 3 passengersFrom £57.35, fixed, including 60 minutes free waiting after your flight lands | Journey time: 21 minutes | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? Yes |
| TIB line A11 from arrivals | Cost for 2: Charged by zone jumps and capped at the four-jump band. The published 3,60 euro band is the resident Tarjeta Única price; a visitor pays the on-board cash single, for which TIB publishes no figure | Journey time: Calls at Magaluf on the way out to Peguera | Door to door? No | Pre-bookable? No |
| Taxi from the airport rank | Cost for 2: Metered, and the rate changes with the clock: 2,50 euros flag fall and 1,20 a kilometre on a weekday daytime, 2,85 and 1,35 after nine at night and all weekend, plus a 4,65 euro airport supplement | Journey time: The same road, plus the rank queue | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? No |
| Line 104 by way of Palma | Cost for 2: Two legs, each charged by zone jumps, and a cash single allows no change of line | Journey time: Into the city first, because the line terminates in Palma rather than at the terminal | Door to door? No | Pre-bookable? No |
When not to book us: Magaluf is a short hop on paper and the A11 does call there from arrivals all year, so a couple travelling light in the afternoon should take it and keep the difference. The trouble is that very few people arrive here as a couple travelling light in the afternoon. This resort fills from late departures out of the UK, and the Palma tariff switches to its higher rate at nine in the evening and stays there until seven, with the holiday rate applying all day on Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays, so the meter on a Friday-night landing is not the meter you priced on a Tuesday. Add the party supplements, 3,00 euros for five or six and 6,00 for seven or eight on a car that seats four anyway, and a group of six is already looking at two vehicles at the rank. Our figure is for the vehicle, agreed before the flight, and does not know what time it is. The exception stands: two of you, hand luggage, daylight, a hotel on the main road. Take the line.
Where you meet your driver
- Give the hotel name and the street. Magaluf packs a lot of buildings into a small grid, and the roads behind Punta Ballena and along Avinguda s'Olivera run one way, so the door matters more here than the resort name.
- Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email. Screenshot it before you fly, because it arrives separately from the booking confirmation.
- Come out of arrivals on floor 0 and meet your driver at the pick-up point Aena assigns to pre-booked vehicles, outside the terminal on the arrivals side. Aena's own advice is never to accept a ride from anyone approaching you away from the signposted points.
- Flight tracking is included at no charge, so a delayed landing moves your collection rather than forfeiting it Meet and greet with a name board in the arrivals hall is a paid extra at checkout.
- For the return, book the collection against the check-in time rather than the departure time, and give the driver the same door. Early-morning departures out of Palma leave the resort before most reception desks are staffed.

Questions people ask about this route
How long does the transfer from Palma Airport to Magaluf take?
About 27.9 km, roughly 17.4 miles, with a free-flow driving time of about 26 minutes on the Ma-19, the Ma-20 Via de Cintura, the Ma-1 and the Ma-1015. Free-flow assumes an empty road, so a summer evening takes longer.
Is there a bus from Palma Airport to Magaluf?
Yes. TIB line A11 Peguera to Aeroport calls at Magaluf and runs outside the summer season as well, unlike the A32 and A42 lines to the north and east coasts. There is also line 104 Magaluf to Palma and line 105 from Sol de Mallorca, but both of those terminate in the city rather than at the terminal.
Does a taxi cost more from Palma Airport at night?
Yes. The Ajuntament de Palma tariff treats 21:00 to 07:00 as a night service and Saturdays, Sundays and official holidays as a holiday service all day. The flag fall goes from 2,50 to 2,85 euros and the rate from 1,20 to 1,35 euros a kilometre. Our price is agreed at booking and does not move with the hour.
We are a group of eight. How does that work?
A eight-seat vehicle takes up to eight and is quoted as one vehicle. At the rank it is different: the Palma tariff adds 3,00 euros for a party of five or six and 6,00 euros for seven or eight, and a standard car seats four, so a group that size is splitting across vehicles before the supplements are counted.
How much is a rank taxi from Palma Airport to Magaluf?
It is metered rather than fixed. From the airport the tariff sets a minimum fare of 16,95 euros, which already covers the flag fall, the 4,65 euro airport supplement and the first 7 kilometres, and then 1,20 euros a kilometre on a weekday daytime or 1,35 at night and at weekends, over a run of about 28 km.
Do I pay extra for suitcases?
Not at the rank and not with us. The Palma tariff lists luggage, pushchairs, guide dogs, wheelchairs, the receipt and card payment as obligatory and free of charge. On our side the price is per vehicle, so choose the class that fits the cases: a saloon and an estate both take three standard suitcases, the estate adding a fourth seat rather than a fourth case, and a people carrier takes four cases and up to five passengers.
Where do I meet the driver at Palma Airport?
At the pick-up point Aena assigns to pre-booked vehicles, floor 0 outside the terminal building on the arrivals side. Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email. Aena also advises never taking a ride from someone touting away from the signposted points.
Can you collect for a very early flight home?
Yes, and the price does not rise for the hour. Book the collection against your check-in time rather than the departure time, and remember the road back is the same Ma-1 and Ma-20 in reverse.
Do you go to Cala Vinyes, Sol de Mallorca and Torrenova?
Yes, each quoted to its own address. They sit either side of Magaluf on separate approaches, so the postcode in the form is what the quote is built on.
What is the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before travel. Inside 24 hours the booking is charged in full. Prices are per vehicle, fixed when you book and paid online by card, with child seats on request.
