Palma Airport to Santa Ponsa taxi
From £57.35 fixed for a pre-booked saloon to Palma Airport.
A car booked ahead from Palma de Mallorca Airport to Santa Ponsa is from £57.35 for a saloon, fixed at booking. The drive covers 17.4 miles in about 21 minutes free-flowing, west on the Ma-1 and off at the Ma-1013. The thing worth knowing before you compare anything is that Santa Ponsa is not one place: the old resort, Nova Santa Ponsa, the marina at Port Adriano and El Toro are spread over several kilometres of hillside, and only the first of them sits on the airport line.

How this compares
| Option | Cost for 2 | Journey time | Door to door? | Pre-bookable? |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Airport Taxi Hub, pre-booked | Cost for 2: £57.35 one price per car, up to 3 passengersFrom £57.35, fixed, including 60 minutes free waiting after your flight lands | Journey time: 21 minutes | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? Yes |
| TIB line A11 from arrivals | Cost for 2: Charged by zone jumps and capped at the four-jump band. The published 3,60 euro band is the resident Tarjeta Única price; a visitor pays the on-board cash single, for which TIB publishes no figure | Journey time: Calls at Santa Ponça on the main road, between Galatzó and Magaluf | Door to door? No | Pre-bookable? No |
| A11 then a local line to the hillside | Cost for 2: Zone jumps again, and no change at all is possible on a cash single bought from the driver | Journey time: Adds a wait at the main-road stop for a service to Nova Santa Ponça or El Toro | Door to door? No | Pre-bookable? No |
| Taxi from the airport rank | Cost for 2: Metered on the Palma tariff, with a 4,65 euro airport supplement once and waiting charged at 19,40 euros an hour on a working day | Journey time: The same road, plus the rank queue | Door to door? Yes | Pre-bookable? No |
When not to book us: If your hotel is on the main road through the old resort and there are two of you in daylight, the A11 wins and it is not close: it leaves the arrivals level, it runs all year rather than only in season, and its fare is capped at the four-jump band. Treat the 3,60 euro band as a local's rate rather than yours: that card is reserved for island citizens, and a holidaymaker buys the conductor's cash ticket, whose price the operator declines to print. The case turns on where in Santa Ponsa you are staying. The resort sprawls uphill and along the coast into Nova Santa Ponsa, Costa de la Calma, Son Ferrer, El Toro and the marina at Port Adriano, and the airport line serves none of those directly; reaching them means waiting at the main-road stop for line 106 or 123, and a cash single bought from the driver does not permit a change of line at all. That turns a twenty-seven-minute drive into an afternoon. Against a booked car the comparison is then a fare against a fare plus a wait plus a walk uphill with the golf clubs. Two adults, hand luggage, a hotel on the front: take the line. Anything else here, book the car.
Where you meet your driver
- Say which Santa Ponsa. The old resort by the beach, Nova Santa Ponsa on the hill, Costa de la Calma, Son Ferrer, El Toro and Port Adriano all share the postal identity and none of them shares an approach road.
- Leave arrivals on floor 0 and meet your driver at the pick-up point Aena assigns to pre-booked vehicles, outside the terminal building on the arrivals side. If you need a fixed landmark to stand by, Aena puts the airport meeting point in the centre of the arrivals floor opposite the information office.
- Flight tracking is included Being met inside the hall with a name board is meet and greet, a paid extra at checkout.
- If you are bringing golf clubs or a buggy, say so at booking. It changes the vehicle class rather than the service, and the estate or people carrier has to be assigned before the driver leaves for the airport.
Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.
Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.
Santa Ponsa to Palma Airport

Questions people ask about this route
How long is the transfer from Palma Airport to Santa Ponsa?
About 31.0 km, roughly 19.3 miles, with a free-flow driving time of about 27 minutes on the Ma-19, the Ma-20 Via de Cintura, the Ma-1 and the Ma-1013. Free-flow assumes an empty road, so allow more in the evening peak.
Is there a bus from Palma Airport to Santa Ponsa?
Yes. TIB line A11 Peguera to Aeroport calls at Santa Ponça and is not flagged as a summer service, so it runs outside the season too. It serves the main road through the resort rather than the hillside districts.
Does the airport bus reach Nova Santa Ponsa or El Toro?
No. Those are served by local lines: line 106 El Toro to Palma calls at Nova Santa Ponça, El Toro, Son Ferrer and Sa Porrassa, and line 123 Santa Ponça to Cas Català covers much the same ground. Both terminate away from the airport, so reaching the hillside from arrivals means a change at the main road.
Can I use one ticket for the change?
Only with a Tarjeta Única or a contactless bank card, which allow two changes across three lines. TIB's own page on the on-board ticket says it is valid only for the journey on the line you are travelling on and cannot be used to change onto another, so the cash single will not cover the second leg. The Tarjeta Única is a residents' card, so for most visitors the bank card is the one that works.
How much is a taxi from Palma Airport to Santa Ponsa?
It is metered, not fixed. The Palma tariff is 1,20 euros a kilometre on a working day and 1,35 at night or on a holiday, and from the airport it opens at a minimum fare of 16,95 euros that already covers the flag fall, the 4,65 euro airport supplement and the first 7 kilometres, over a run of about 31 km. Waiting in traffic is charged at 19,40 euros an hour on a working day. Ours is agreed before you fly.
Can I get a taxi back to the airport from Santa Ponsa?
In season, yes. Santa Ponsa is in Calvià, one of the eight municipalities in the joint taxi service across the bay of Palma and the Serra, which pools more than 1,530 licences into one round-the-clock supply. The permission is time-limited: it expired on 30 September 2025, with a repeat planned between 1 June and 30 September 2026, so it does not hold across the winter.
Do you go to Port Adriano and the golf resorts?
Yes, each quoted to its own address rather than at one Santa Ponsa rate. The marina, the two golf courses above Nova Santa Ponsa and the villas on the El Toro side are separate journeys, and the price you are shown is for the address you entered.
Where will my driver be at Palma Airport?
At the pick-up point Aena assigns to pre-booked vehicles, floor 0 outside the terminal building on the arrivals side. Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email. Express pick-up is included in the price; a name board in the hall is meet and greet, a paid extra.
Is the price the same for a late landing?
Yes. It is agreed when you book and does not move with the hour, the day or the traffic, which is the practical difference from a meter that charges a higher rate after nine at night and all day at weekends and on official holidays.
What if we need to cancel or change the booking?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before travel; inside 24 hours the booking is charged in full. Prices are per vehicle, fixed at booking and paid online by card. Child seats are available on request if you give us the ages.
