Geneva Airport to Les Gets taxi
From £165.60 fixed for a pre-booked saloon to Geneva Airport.
A private car from Geneva Airport to Les Gets is from £165.60 for a saloon, fixed the moment you book. When not to book us: Les Gets has the best scheduled link to the airport of any resort on this page, and it would be dishonest not to lead with it. Altibus runs a seasonal service between Les Gets bus station and Geneva airport, and for one or two people landing on the right day in the right months it will cost less than any car. Read the restriction carefully though: Thursday to Monday only, and only from the middle of December to the middle of April. A Tuesday arrival in early December has no such service, and the fallback is a train to Cornavin, a second train to Thonon or Cluses and then the Y91 or Y92, which is three changes with ski bags. The car is the answer when the calendar does not cooperate or when there are more than two of you. A metered rank car is the option the length of the road does bear on, and not in your favour: it starts on the higher cantonal tariff at 3,80 francs a kilometre plus 7,80 to pick up, because the destination is outside the canton and because four people is more than three, and then it counts every kilometre of the climb. The resort itself states that winter equipment is compulsory from the first of November to the thirty-first of March, and a pre-booked vehicle arrives fitted for that.
Where you meet your driver
- Give the chalet name and the part of the village. Les Gets spreads uphill from the centre towards the Chavannes side and a driver sent to the wrong end costs you a walk with skis.
- Come out to the Arrivals level and ring your driver as soon as you land. The number is in the supplier details email, which arrives separately from the booking confirmation.
- Express pick-up is included in the price paid, with the driver at the airport's designated pick-up point. Meet and greet in the arrivals hall with a name board is a paid extra at checkout.
- If you are also planning day trips to Morzine or Avoriaz, you will not need a car: the Balad'Aulps Bus links Les Gets with Morzine, Avoriaz, Montriond and the rest of the Aulps valley for 1,60 euros a journey on a ticket valid an hour, and connects with the free local lines.
Contact your driver as soon as you land, their number is in your supplier details email.
Arrivals-hall meet and greet with a name board is available as a paid extra at checkout.

The return direction is quoted separately, because the two legs can be won by different operators. It is currently from £167.13 for a saloon.
Questions people ask about this route
How much is a taxi from Geneva Airport to Les Gets?
Our price is quoted live above and fixed when you book. A rank car is metered on Tarif II at 3,80 francs a kilometre, the tariff that applies to journeys leaving the canton and to parties of more than three, with a 7,80 franc airport pick-up charge. The canton's flat airport fares of 25 to 60 francs only cover zones inside the cantonal boundary.
How far is Les Gets from Geneva Airport?
The tourist office gives 55 km and an hour and a quarter by road, with 25 km of that off the A40 and Cluses station 22 km away. Its by-car list gives 63 km and an hour from the city rather than the airport. The quote above measures the road to your exact address, so treat those as scale rather than as your journey.
Is there a direct bus from Geneva Airport to Les Gets?
Seasonally. Altibus runs a service between Les Gets bus station and Geneva airport from Thursday to Monday, from 15 December to 15 April. Outside those days and months you would go by rail to Cornavin, on to Thonon or Cluses, and then take the Y91 or Y92 bus.
Can I get to Les Gets by train?
Not all the way. The route is the station under the terminal to Genève Cornavin, which the tourist office gives as five trains an hour, then the T71 or the Léman Express to Thonon for the Y91 bus, or the Léman Express to Cluses for the Y92. It works, but it is two changes and a bus leg with luggage.
Do we need snow chains?
The vehicle does. The resort states that special winter equipment is compulsory from 1 November and that the requirement runs to 31 March of the following year. A pre-booked car arrives fitted for it, which is the practical difference between a transfer and a hire car collected at the terminal.
How do we get to Morzine or Avoriaz during the week?
The Balad'Aulps Bus links Les Gets with Morzine, Avoriaz, Montriond and the other Aulps valley villages through the season, at 1,60 euros for a single journey on a ticket valid an hour, with connection points onto the free local lines. For a week's stay in the Portes du Soleil that is almost always cheaper and easier than keeping a car.
Should we just take the seasonal airport coach instead?
For two people arriving on a day it runs, quite possibly, and we have said so above. For a family, for a Tuesday in December, or for a late landing, the fixed price and the door drop are what you are buying. The comparison is honest either way because ours is one number agreed in advance and the alternatives are a chain of separate tickets.
How many of us fit in one vehicle?
Three passengers with three standard suitcases fit a saloon. Four passengers with three cases need an estate, five with four a people carrier, and eight of each the largest vehicle we quote. Skis and boards count as luggage rather than as hand baggage, so include them in the count. Child seats are on request.
What if our flight is delayed?
We track it and move the pick-up to the real landing time at no extra charge, and the free waiting window in your fare starts when the aircraft lands. Book for the scheduled arrival rather than padding it.
How do we pay and what if we cancel?
Payment is online by card when you book and covers the whole vehicle rather than the seat count. Cancel more than 24 hours before pick-up and nothing is charged; inside 24 hours the fare is payable in full.
